Our first edition of The Irish News School Edition 2020 will feature Annette Kelly at Little Penny Thoughts as our Guest Editor.

Annette Kelly hails from the close knit village of Carrickmore in Co.Tyrone, where she launched Little Penny Thoughts on Facebook in 2015. 4 years on the page now has over 330 thousand followers and growing! LPT has a strong passion for mental health and holistic well-being, according to Annette: nothing makes them happier than spreading positive vibes.

Annette is a fully qualified teacher with a Bachelor of Education from St.Mary’s University College Belfast, who now specialises in: wellness workshops and guest speaking.

Every week in The Irish News School Edition, pupils will have the opportunity to write their own positive thought and send them into us at the Irish News –

  • The pupil with the best positive thought will WIN a copy of Annette’s Little Penny Thoughts Book
  • The pupil will get their positive thought published in The Irish News School Edition
  • The pupil’s positive thought, alongside their photograph will be posted on The Irish News school twitter account:
  • Everyone that signs up to the Young News Readers project will be put into a draw to WIN a Little Penny Thoughts workshop for their school
